Maze Runner star Dylan O’Brien is in final negotiations to topline Monster Problems, a post-apocalyptic love story from Paramount Players.

Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps is producing the feature project, which rising South African director Michael Matthews recently boarded. Matthews is the filmmaker behind the neo-Western Five Fingers for Marseilles.

The project is described as being a Zombieland road pic crossed with the stylings of a John Hughes teen movie, telling the story of a guy who has to survive a monsterpocalypse in order to be with the girl of his dreams.

O’Brien starred in the trio of Maze Runner films, Fox’s adaptation of the post-apocalyptic YA novels. The actor also starred on MTV’s Teen Wolf series and last year starred in the gritty American Assassin thriller. He is repped by WME, Principal Entertainment and Lichter Grossman.

Matthews is repped by WME.

Hey Froy! You just released your Debut single “sideswipe” and it has already gained a lot of attention with your massive fanbase, what has been your thought on the reaction of the song?
It feels like a fresh page. I put a lot of pressure on myself to control what I can about my art, but at times I forget the importance of just putting myself out there. The reaction has been so much more than I could have ever expected. The energy my fans put into my music gives me a renewed lease on my own musical confidence.

How did your acting career turn into a music career?
Acting is and always will be my first love. But, for the stories I want to tell, I had to branch out. My goal has been and still is to simply to connect with people. But there are multiple ways to do that. Film and music are the same language to me, just spoken differently. So, for my vision, it was important to incorporate new, challenging mediums.

You are now growing a well-known name for yourself in the music industry, what’s up next for you? A tour maybe?
A tour would be lovely, but I want to start my music journey in the same place I started my acting journey: the internet. What’s next is fleshing out the EP with distinct visuals and a narrative that will be available online!

Batwoman will come face to face with Superman and Lois Lane (!!!) in the annual Arrowverse crossover.

EW has learned that Tyler Hoechlin is set to reprise his role as the Man of Steel in this year’s three-night crossover, which will mark Ruby Rose’s debut as Gotham crusader Batwoman, a.k.a. Kate Kane. He will appear in all three episodes, meaning fans will finally get to see him share the screen with Grant Gustin’s Flash and Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow; however, that isn’t the only major development. The CW will also introduce intrepid Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane in the epic event, too. Casting for the role will begin soon.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” said Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”

It’s been quite a while since Kara’s super-cousin dropped by Supergirl. The last time we saw Superman was in Supergirl‘s season 2 finale when Supergirl fought — and defeated — a brainwashed Superman in the middle of National City. Relatedly, Supergirl has name-dropped Lois Lane quite a few times since it premiered, so it feels like her introduction into the Arrowverse has been a long time coming.

The three-night Arrowverse crossover begins Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., then continues on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. with Arrow, and concludes on the following night at 8 p.m. with Supergirl.

I’m finally a bit recovered from the crazy weekend that was Wolfcon IV in Amsterdam! This is the megapost that will be updated every time I find something new to share.
Andrew Matarazzo, Froy Gutierrez, Adelaide Kane, Max Carver, Ryan Kelley and Gage Golightly attended the event that took place in the Park Plaza Hotel in Lijnden, Amsterdam.

My personal experience… It couldn’t have been more perfect. It was my very fist convention and the cast (and everyone else for that matter) have been nothing but kind to me.
I, being someone with Cerebral Palsy, was very, very nervous but that easily fade away and turned into probably one of the best experiences of my life. When I took the group-photo, I almost took a fall and asked for some support in order to make it back to my walker and seat without breaking my neck. Max was very supportive and sweet and was quick enough to catch me before I actually took that fall. <3

Adelaide didn’t arrive until much later in the evening on Saturday due to her flight being canceled because of the very bad weather in London. She actually spent the night on a bench!
When she finally arrived, she came up to say ‘Hi!’ when I (together with multiple others) was in the meeting room with Andrew. She quickly went downstairs to say ‘hi!’ to everyone else. She’s been through hell and back coming to Amsterdam. Girl, you’re f*cking amazing and don’t let other people tell you otherwise!
