The dreaded “Teen Wolf” Darach is done for, but all is still far from well for the McCall family. When the show’s third season returns on January 6, Scott and his mother have a ghost more troubling to deal with than any mythical creature they’ve encountered: Scott’s father. Melissa Ponzio, the actress behind the single mom and nurse, says her character’s former flame will ensure there’s just as much drama within the walls of the McCall home as there is in all of Beacon Hills.

“That ex-husband is turning up like a bad penny,” Ponzio explained to Hypable. “He is stirring all kinds of craziness.” The actress told the site she’s still not sure what exactly Agent McCall wants now that he’s back in town, but that she loathes Matthew Del Negro’s character so much, she’s actually angry when Scott calls him “dad.” “It really bothers me…I’ve worked so hard to be Mom, and he’s been gone for so long and he immediately is Dad?”

Still, one consolation Melissa McCall will have is that her friendship with Sheriff Stilinski is alive, well and…potentially romantic? “There’s flirty games between Mama and the Sheriff, so I think there’s been a little something-something even prior to this, even just a little bit more friendly, that hasn’t been shown to the audience,” she said. Well that won’t make things between Scott and Stiles awkward at all…

Keegan: January is so far away! Any Teen Wolf scoop to tide me over until then?
Sheriff Stilinski is getting some help! A new deputy will be coming to Beacon Hills in season 3B named Deputy Parrish, who is pretty young and very goodlooking.(Someone goodlooking on Teen Wolf?! How strange!) But Parrish isn’t the only newbie coming to town as Nogitsune, a malevolent man with inhumane movements will also be introduced. Bonus creepy factor: He speaks in riddles!

Jessica: Excited for the Kitsune on Teen Wolf, but can we expect to meet other supernatural creatures?
Possibly, but they will all have ties to the Kitsune, a were-fox known for trickery, according to boss Jeff Davis. “You may see others, but it revolves around the Kitsune myth,” he dishes. “You’ll see, but we have some great new bad guys this season that we’re excited about.”

MTV has ordered twelve more episodes! Season four will have its premiere in 2014, Hollywood Reporter posted.

The cable network has picked up 12 more episodes of the supernatural drama, it was revealed Saturday at New York Comic-Con. Season four will premiere in 2014.

MTV also announced a new talk show, Wolf Watch, that will begin airing after new episodes of Teen Wolf when the series returns for the remaining 12 episodes of season three Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
