Danielle: So excited that Kate is coming back to Teen Wolf! But what is she?!
Jeff Davis, take it away! “She’s…well, I guess I should let it stay secret. I won’t tell you! [Laughs.] But she’s specific and there’s a reason for it.” He adds, “We are really excited about Kate. We’re excited about making her a really powerful villain, about her relationships with both Argent and Derek, and now what she does now that both she and Peter are resurrected.”

The Teen Wolf cast members have seen and heard it all from their very loyal fans, from your basic flattery (ya know, stuff like “I love you, please father my children”) to indecipherable screaming interspersed with crying interspersed with hair-pulling and drooling. It’s all part of the gig, and as far as Tyler Posey is concerned, it’s one of the best parts. He LOVES his fans — yep, even the fickle ones who can’t decide if they’d rather marry him or Tyler Hoechlin (hey, you guys, ever heard of polygamy?) — and continues to remain humble through the fame. Take the video below, for instance, in which the actor reads aloud a few sweet tweets from his followers. Not only is he impressed by their creativity, he’s truly grateful for the shout-outs. Though, note to @CourtneyyySmall, who “can’t wait” for him to be her “second husband”: Give couples counseling a shot first.

Though Teen Wolf said goodbye to Allison, its female lead, after star Crystal Reed asked to be written off the show, the MTV hit will return for its fourth season on June 23 heavy on the girl power.
When we caught up with executive producer Jeff Davis after the epic season three finale, he was quick to praise the show’s two new female additions, Kira (Arden Cho) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) and teased what we can expect from them next season.

Though Hennig is signed onto to be a series regular in season four, Davis and the writers weren’t sure if she would even be returning at all.
“We didn’t know if Malia was going to be a part of season four up until a few months ago. That was very much up in the air,” Davis reveals. “We were hopeful that Shelley wanted to do it and we sowed the seeds for the possibility of her coming back, but it was unexpected and a very unexpected and nice surprise. We’re very happy she’s doing the show.”
And Davis continues the gushfest when talking about Arden Cho, who quickly became a fan favorite after joining the show midway through season three.

“Kira, Arden, is just amazing. She’s back full-time on the show, as well,” he says. “I think Arden did a stunning job and stepped in to the role beautifully and we have so much more planned for her, for her and Scott as well, and her becoming part of his pack.”
And romance will also be on the agenda for Kira and Scott (Tyler Posey), albeit a slow one due to his first love Allison’s tragic passing.
“One of the things we’re really excited about is the writer’s room is in love with Scott and Kira. We really like that romance, so at the beginning of it, it’s going to be a little bit of a ‘are they together, are they not together?’ Kira doesn’t know what to do, she doesn’t know how much space to give him. Scott doesn’t know what to do either, because he wants to be a gentleman, and respect the girl he loved who is now dead, but he’s also a teenager and he’s falling in love,” he explains. “Those are going to be struggles and they are going to have slowly find their way to romance again. We like the idea of a slow burn for them, where as for other romances on the show may be all physical at first, but the difficult thing for them is actually being with each other and not being physical. Those are interesting relationships.”

Gigi: So sad Isaac isn’t going to be a part of Teen Wolf’s fourth season. What can you tell us about the three new lacrosse players? I hope we will love them as much as Isaac!
Make that two new lacrosse players, as boss Jeff Davis tells us “Mason is not on the team,” a recent decision made by the writers. Still, Mason, Liam and Garrett “are younger characters who are brought in to complicate the lives of our main characters and they are really good!” But there’s one newbie Davis is really excited about. “Dylan Sprayberry is probably the biggest of the younger characters, playing Liam, and Tyler [Posey] and Dylan [O’Brien] are in love with him,” he gushes. “They have some really great scenes together, so I’m really hopeful that fans like him as much as we like him. He’s such a good kid and he’s a great actor.”

I have tweeted about this last night. Daniel Sharman, who plays Isaac on Teen Wolf will not return for the fourth season, E! Online confirms;

“Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new,” Davis says.

Fortunately, fans will not have to grieve another heartbreaking death as Sharman requested that Isaac not be killed off.

Executive Producer Jeff Davis also reveals the reason;

“He specifically asked that we not kill off Isaac, so that he could have the chance to return. He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance,” Davis reveals. “But he was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can’t convince you to come back, we’ll definitely leave the door open for you.'”

He continues, “It was totally his decision, but he really loves the show. He sends me the nicest texts in the world. He loves the show and he specifically asked not to be killed off, so that he could come back someday. Whether it’s the fourth season or later, I would say there’s a good possibility of it.”

For Tyler Posey, filming the Teen Wolf scene in which his first true love, Allison Argent, dies in his arms was a moving experience, but it was actually a moment from the following week’s episode — tonight’s Season 3 finale — that hit home more than any other during his time playing Scott McCall.

Tyler, who’s normally 100 percent jokester when discussing his awesome MTV gig (and anything else, really), put on a more serious face with us recently when we asked him to recall his most challenging shoot day. “There’s a scene with me and Melissa [Ponzio], Scott’s mom, and Scott is devastated from the news about Allison, and she’s comforting him,” he begins in the exclusive interview clip below. After sharing a bit about his “natural” acting process, Tyler explains why this scene in particular truly touched a nerve, and prompted him to channel his own personal demons. “My mom is going through some stuff right now, and I was thinking about that, and it kind of put me in this place in my head where I was sad. It was just weird,” he tells us. “I don’t like to think about it, but I kind of forced myself to.” And pushing himself paid off. The moment was full of authentic, raw emotion, and looking back, Tyler recalls that it was also therapeutic.

“I think once you face things like that, it helps you kind of accept it and go along with it,” he says, “and at the same time it’s really rewarding. If you really felt like you did a good job, it instills faith in you that you can actually pull this career off.”

Check out the video for more from Tyler on his intense filming experience, and tell us what you thought of the scene!
